Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By using Kinea, Kinea Go, or Kinea Hike, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the apps.

Section 02

Eligibility and Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Section 03

Health Disclaimer

Kinea provides general fitness and stretching information, Kinea Go provides activity tracking tools, and Kinea Hike provides trail discovery, navigation and hike-recording tools. The apps do not provide medical advice or guarantee that an outdoor route is safe or suitable. Consult a qualified professional before starting any exercise programme, especially if you have existing medical conditions or injuries. Outdoor activities carry inherent risks, and you are responsible for your safety, preparation and decisions.

Section 04

Subscriptions and Billing (Google Play)

Premium subscriptions purchased on Android are processed through Google Play Billing. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play account settings. Pricing, taxes, trial eligibility, and billing terms are shown in Google Play at purchase time.

Section 04a

Kinea Go — Activity Tracking

Kinea Go is free to download and use. The following terms apply specifically to Kinea Go:

• GPS & Location: Kinea Go requests location permission to record your route during activities. Location is only accessed while actively recording and is never collected in the background.
• Activity Data: Workouts you record (or import) are saved to your Kinea Go account on Firebase. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
• Samsung Health & Health Connect: With your explicit permission, Kinea Go can import recent workout history from Samsung Health or Android Health Connect. This sync is user-initiated only. You can revoke access in your device settings at any time.
• Groups & Challenges: Participating in group challenges means limited activity data (activity type, duration) may be visible to other group members.
• No Subscription Required: Kinea Go is a free app with no in-app purchases or subscriptions at this time.

Section 05

Kinea Hike — Trails and Community

The following terms apply specifically to Kinea Hike:

• Trail information: Routes, distances, elevation, duration, access details and conditions may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Always check local signs, official notices, weather, tides, closures and land-access rules.
• Navigation and offline maps: GPS accuracy, device battery, terrain, signal and downloaded map coverage can affect navigation. Carry appropriate equipment and a reliable backup appropriate to the route.
• Active hike recording: If you allow background location, Kinea Hike may continue recording while an active hike is in progress. You are responsible for stopping the recording when finished and managing location permissions in device settings.
• Community content: You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Kinea a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display that content for operating and promoting the service. You must have the rights to anything you upload and must not share unlawful, unsafe, misleading or privacy-invasive content.
• Moderation: We may remove community content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, rights protection or enforcement of these Terms.
• Third-party services: Maps, payments, authentication and other features may depend on third-party services and their separate terms.

Section 06

Refunds

For Google Play purchases, refunds are handled according to Google Play policies and may need to be requested through Google.

Section 07

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with app operation, or violate applicable laws.

Section 08

Intellectual Property

The app, including its content, branding, and software, is owned by Kinea or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Section 09

Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Section 10

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinea is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

Section 11

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons.

Section 12

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
